Cannabis is good for a lot of things, and sex is no exception.  According to the effects of specific strains, when you smoke good weed, you can have mind-blowing, life-altering sex. However, it's important to do your research and learn which strains are best for sex, and what kind of effects come with it.  Let's get started by exploring some potent and pleasant strains.  1. Jack Herer Jack Herer is considered by many to be the best Sativa of all time.  It opens up your mind with creativity and euphoria, which allows you to watch the stress melt away. A lot of sexual dysfunction is because you are inside of your head.  With a strain like Jack taking some of your stress and anxiety away, it becomes a lot easier to remain comfortable in your skin and able to have the sex that you want. Because the strain also fosters openness and creativity, you will find yourself exploring different things in the bedroom and staying open and communicative with your partner.  2. OG Kush You can't go wrong with OG Kush. This is a hybrid strain that has won too many awards to count.  OG happens to be one of the most popular and versatile kinds of cannabis in the world, with libido-enhancing varieties like Banana OG, San Fernando Valley (SFV) OG, Blueberry OG, and Bubba OG serving as favorites.  The effects of OG Kush include a sense of calmness and peace, which helps you truly move into your power as a sexual being. It will help you to slow your breathing and breathe deeply, which is an essential part of the Kama Sutra and Taoist sexual practices.  If you are trying to have high-vibration, meditative sex that is filled with wonder and manifestations, OG Kush is an excellent strain to use.  3. Grandaddy Purp This complex Indica blend takes you out of your head and puts you into your body.  When you can do this, you can feel the sensations more and will be able to relieve the tension of the day as you start to get into foreplay. This strain makes you euphoric and tastes great, and is excellent for any late-night encounter when you know you want nothing more than to go several rounds and pass out into a long, blissful sleep. 4. Sour Diesel This world-famous, potent, pungent strain is great for sex.  With Sour D, you get the benefits of an Indica with the light euphoria of a Sativa. With this particular strain, you will experience a happiness that allows for movement and expression.  It gives you energy and creativity, rather than simply succumbing to couch lock.  5. Northern Lights Northern Lights is yet another incredible Indica strain that lets you stay into the moment and focus on sexy thoughts and feelings.  It gets you out of your head, and won't paralyze you with the anxiety and neuroticism that comes with other strains. You will be able to rest and relax into the moment, which is useful no matter what kind of sex you want to have.  6. Wedding Cookies When you smoke wedding cookies by Pistola, it can help you take your sex to the next level.  This strain is known to make you relaxed and happy -- two things that are crucial for good sex. It gives you intense euphoria and enthusiasm.  You will find that Wedding Cookies is an incredibly potent strain of cannabis, but not one that will overwhelm you.  This happiness and euphoria are great when you want intense, heartfelt lovemaking where high levels of emotion are present. It can also work well for intense dominant and submissive sex, such as tying your partner up or being tied up, or heavy spanking.  7. Jillybean With Jillybean, you're getting one of the happiest hybrids that you'll find.  It will give you a chance to feel upliftment that will carry over into the bedroom. This is a great strain when you are feeling rather frisky and kinky since the energy is very playful and spontaneous.  8. Strawberry Cough This is one of the happiest and more euphoric Sativa around. When you are planning for some high-intensity, good old-fashioned sex, you can't go wrong with this one.  It soothes your anxiety away so that you don't feel self-conscious so that you feel comfortable being completely naked and in the moment.  9. LSD Finally, LSD is a very potent hybrid strain that creates a sense of euphoria, uplifted spirit, and creativity.  This strain gives the total-body high of an Indica with the energizing properties of a Sativa, making it a must before you hit the bedroom. You'll feel comfortable in your skin with each kiss, touch, and moan.  Smoke Good Weed, Have Good Sex So there you have it -- when you smoke good weed such as the strains above, you can take your sex game to the next level.  Whether you're a lover of all things Indica, a Sativa aficionado or a hybrid connoisseur, there are plenty of good choices for you. We can sell you whatever you need.   Our West Sahara Ave. location is just moments away from the Las Vegas Strip, and we're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  When you're in Vegas and searching for some great cannabis, contact us and stop by!

Cannabis tourism is on the rise growing 51% since 2014 in the state of Colorado alone. Over the years, legalization has allowed Americans to enjoy cannabis tourism in a number of destinations. If you're planning on enjoying a recreational cannabis trip to Las Vegas it's important to know how to buy weed legally and safely during your trip. Here you'll find everything you need to know, from finding dispensaries to current state laws, in order to start your cannabis vacation off on the right foot. What is a Recreational State Over the years marijuana has seen a massive upturn as states throughout the country have legalized its use. While most of the states only allow medicinal marijuana use, some states are opening up to the recreational use of the plant. Fortunately, Nevada is one such state. What to Know About Weed Laws in Las Vegas While Nevada may be a recreational state, that doesn't mean that there are not laws in place for the usage of marijuana. In the state of Nevada, you must be at least 21 years old to enjoy marijuana recreationally. There is also a limit on the amount of marijuana you may possess. Those looking to enjoy marijuana may hold up to 1 ounce of marijuana flower or 3.5 g of concentrated marijuana. It's also important to note that there are regulations as to where the public ingestion of cannabis can take place. For enjoying marijuana in a public place you can be hit with $1000 maximum fine and even jail time. This is a stark difference from the minor hundred dollar infraction you would receive in California. You are also unable to drive or ride in a vehicle while in enjoying or holding an open container of cannabis. What to Expect in Las Vegas While you may have visions of cannabis cafés and Amsterdam inspired night clubs, it’s important to know that there are still strict restrictions on the public consumption of marijuana in the state of Nevada. However, that doesn’t mean you won’t find a number of 420 friendly businesses and destinations. It’s important to do the research beforehand to know exactly where you can and cannot partake to avoid running into any trouble. How to Buy Weed on Your Vegas Vacation Now that you are aware of the various laws pertaining to marijuana usage in Las Vegas you can begin to go about buying and enjoying cannabis on your vacation. Read on to learn more about how to obtain and enjoy cannabis on your next trip. Finding a Cannabis Dispensary It's never been easier to find dispensaries near you. There are a number of online store locators and even apps that can point you in the direction of the nearest marijuana dispensary. Some apps even offer reviews, sales, and menus. While you're on vacation feel free to check out different kinds of shops. Each cannabis shop will offer its own spin on products as well as the atmosphere. We have three unique Thrive locations in Las Vegas, all stocked with high-quality cannabis products for you to try.  Our Vegas dispensaries are open 24/7 for your convenience.  Knowing the Basics If it's your first time buying or enjoying cannabis in a recreational state feel free to speak to your budtender and request a recommendation. Your budtender is there to help and will happily suggest a strain based on your personal taste preference. It's helpful to know what type of cannabis you're looking for (like whether you want edibles or to smoke) and how long you plan on being high for. There's nothing worse than an unexpected high that lasts too long and cuts into the rest of your vacation. Purchasing Products Finally, you want to purchase your products and whatever you may need to enjoy those products. For example, you may need to purchase a pipe, a vaporizer, or paper for rolling. If you're unsure about a specific method to enjoy your cannabis, simply ask your budtender if they can recommend one. Sometimes you’ll be lucky enough to find a budtender that will crush the flower or roll your weed for you ahead of time making it easier for you to enjoy on your trip. Returning Home It's important to know the laws of import and export pertaining to each recreational state. In the state of Nevada, it is illegal to take any of the marijuana purchased during your trip out of state. In some cases, there may be an exception, such as key Cases in which your products hold only CBD and no THC. It is highly recommended to check in on the current status of all marijuana-related laws prior to taking a trip. What happens in Vegas could result in a trip to the Vegas prison system. Sorry to say, cannabis souvenirs for your friends back home are probably out of the question. Cannabis Tourism Thanks to the legalization of recreational cannabis in several states throughout the country we have now seen a rise in cannabis tourism and cannabis tourism businesses. Connecting with a cannabis tourism agency is a great way to enjoy the recreational use of weed during your trip to Las Vegas. You can now stay in 420 friendly Airbnb's, dine on cannabis-based cuisine, or even have a guided tour of local dispensaries. Around the world, as many as 200 million people (give or take a few hundred thousand) report using cannabis. Is one of those people part of your life? Pot lovers are fun to hang out with for lots of reasons. But another bonus of having a stoner in your life is that they're easy to shop for. As marijuana becomes legal in more and more places, there are more weed gift ideas to choose from than ever before. Wondering which cannabis gifts to buy for your favorite stoner? We've put together some of our favorites here - check them out below! CBD Bath Products While weed gets you high, it also does much more. Some people love cannabis for the CBD as much as for the THC. CBD is the compound in weed that helps with everything from pain to depression. And it also works when applied topically, making it a great gift for anyone who needs relaxation and pain relief sometimes. You can find bath bombs, lotions, and other bath products containing CBD. They're great for athletes or anyone who has sore muscles from time to time. But they can also make a relaxing, thoughtful gift for just about anyone. Weed Soda Weed soda and similar delicious beverages offer a tasty new way to get high. These drinks are made using high-quality concentrate, blended into a drink that gives you a buzz, unlike anything alcohol can provide. Just make sure the recipient knows they can be potent -- you shouldn't drink more than one dose at a time. Lounge Clothes When it comes to weed gifts, they don't always have to have weed in them. Sometimes, the best gifts are the ones your favorite stoner will love to use when they're high. Lounge clothes, slippers, and other comfy accessories are a great choice. Not all stoners are homebodies, but most of them love the feeling of chilling at home with a nice high from time to time. Consider gifting a plush bathrobe, cozy slippers, or even an ultra-soft blanket. Getting high at home doesn't have to involve ratty old sweats anymore! Cool Ashtray Ashtrays haven't been thought of as trendy items for many years. While they were once beautiful, even collectible, the campaign against cigarettes made them fall out of favor. However, stoners need ashtrays too, and the ashtray market is growing alongside the cannabis market. You can buy high-tech new ashtrays made out of modern materials like silicone. Or, you could pick up a cool vintage ashtray from a thrift store for an even more unique gift.  A Card Giving a card instead of a gift might seem cheap and boring. But what if that card had a preroll in it? That's right -- they make cards just for stoners now, with space to put prerolled joints or blunts inside. If you know someone's favorite strain (or found a new one you think they're love) try one of these thoughtful cards.  Stash Box This one seems too easy. But if you know a stoner that could benefit from a little more organization, a stash box might be just the things for them. You can find all kinds of cool designs. The box can reference weed directly, or it can have any other style you choose. Just make sure it's easy to secure so what's inside won't spill if it gets knocked over. Grinder A high-quality grinder can make a world of difference in a smoker's experience. This is a simple gift that's great for someone who's new to the world of cannabis. Look for a quality design made of quality material, like metal. Edible Candy The whole "stoners love to eat" thing isn't just a myth -- science has shown that weed helps spark the appetite.  However, you can give your stoner friends gifts a little more elevated than the bulk candy from the grocery store. Try gifting some edibles instead. You can pick edibles infused with THC, or just CBD if you think that's more their style. From fancy truffles to simple gummies, there's no shortage of weed-infused candy to choose from our Las Vegas Dispensary. Skincare Products The beauty industry is always looking for the latest and greatest ingredient. These days, cannabis is having its moment in the skincare world. Look for cannabis-infused moisturizers, serums, and much more. Although some products work better than others depending on skin type, they'll all make a great gift for a beauty lover who's into trying new things. Rolling Tray A trendy, subtle rolling tray is a great gift for the stoner who loves a nicely decorated coffee table with their smoking materials. Rolling trays can do double duty as a place to hold small, easy-to-lose items, like keys or jewelry. Pick one that looks nice, even when it's not in use.  The Perfect Experience If you have a stoner friend who loves to go out and do things, why not give them an experience they'll always remember? You can do something specifically aimed at stoners, like a "puff and paint night." Or you can go more traditional with concert tickets, a trip to an amazing national park, or anything else you can think of. Just make sure that if you'll both be getting high, neither of you is driving.  Ready to Try These Weed Gift Ideas? We've scratched the surface of weed gift ideas here, but the truth is, there are many more where that came from. Most of the things on this list are easy to get if you live in a state with legal weed.  However, you can still find gifts that are legal in all 50 states. Pick-up your cannabis gift needs at one of our four Thrive locations.

Weed is going to be legal around the US within a year. Well, that’s if you listen to the pundits and look at the industry. For instance, Canopy Growth just bid $3.4 billion for Acreage Holding. That’s a Canadian cannabis industry giant making a deal with a New York-based competitor, respectively, on the basis of federal law changing. The respective CEOs are betting that it happens within a year! Clearly, it’s an exciting time for pot smokers around the country. Newfound freedom always calls for an era of experimentation. Novel ways of cannabis consumption are called for. Food-infused concoctions are on today’s menu. Are you a budding weed smoker looking to experiment with cannabis cookery? Want to add to your cannabis cookbook? Keep reading for some great weed recipes to do just that. 4 Awesome Weed Recipes to Enhance Your Cannabis Cookbook Edibles combine your love of cooking with your love of weed. Here are some foundational recipes to begin your cannabis cooking journey. 1. Canna-Oil Canna-oil is often a basis for your weed cooking. Infused with marijuana, you can use the oil as you wish to enhance your food with a nice high! Remember, canola oil and vegetable oils are better for sweet stuff; olive oils work well with savory. Here’s how to make it: Ingredients: Good quality marijuana – approx. 5 grams Oil of choice – 2 cups Guide: The first step is to decarboxylate your marijuana. Spread it out on a baking sheet in one even layer. Next, put the sheet in a preheated oven at 220 degrees Fahrenheit for around 30-45 minutes. Keep an eye on it though. Don’t let it burn!   With the weed successfully decarboxylated you want to store it away for a couple of months. Yes, months! Put it in a container so air can’t get to it, and place it somewhere cool, dark and dry. Let’s assume you’ve waited two months, or already have 5 grams of decarbed weed lying around. It’s time to heat your oil of choice in a saucepan. Don’t get it too hot. Medium-low is probably best. Add the weed and cook for around 40 to 45 minutes. Again, don’t let it get too hot (too hot would be over 200 degrees Fahrenheit). With that done, remove from the heat. Allow the lovely weed-oil combo to stand and cool for 10-15 minutes. Finally, use a sieve to strain out the oil, using a spoon or some other implement to press through as much oil as possible. And voila! A fresh batch of potent canna-oil. Pro Tip: Prefer butter to oil? Use exactly the same process to make canna-butter. Just swap out the oil with butter…obviously. Use it in your cooking and baking as required. 2. Canna-Tea This one’s self-explanatory. Want a brew? Want to get high? Want to kill two birds with one stone? Canna-tea is what you need. Ingredients: Tea of choice Cannabis tincture Milk, honey, sugar Guide: You could probably figure this one out for yourself. But in the interest of consistency, here’s the quickest how-to going. Boil your water and make your tea. Then add a dose of your cannabis tincture (whichever one you prefer). Finally, sweeten with honey and/or sugar, and add milk (if that’s your preference). 3. Canna-Mac-n-Cheese Who doesn’t love mac-n-cheese? It’s the ultimate in hearty, feel-good, binge food. It’s time the traditional recipe was brought into the 21st 420 century. Ingredients (serves 5…depending on your munchies): 0.5lb macaroni 1 tablespoon of canola oil Seasoning (salt/pepper) Cannabutter (5 tablespoons) 0.5 cups flour 3 cups warm milk 12 oz cheese of choice Spices (smoked paprika, nutmeg) Guide: Cook your macaroni as normal, then drain and set it aside. With the mac sorted, it’s time for the cheese. Melt your cannabutter in a saucepan and add your flour. Be sure to keep stirring every so often until smooth. When it’s combined, add your warm milk and cook until the sauce is thick enough. Now it’s actual cheese time. Put your cheese into the sauce along with the seasoning and spices. Stir it all in and add your macaroni. Place into ramekins or small dishes of choice. Pro tip: Trying to impress a mate? Want to make it fancier? Add a breadcrumb, canna-oil and cheddar cheese mix to the top of the mac n cheese. Finally, bake in a preheated oven (375 degrees Fahrenheit) for half an hour. 4. Canna Mug Cake  Weed brownies are old news. Enter the chocolate mug cake. Oh, and it only takes 5 minutes to make. That’s good news for any impatient aspiring stoners out there. Ingredients: Softened canna-butter (As required) Cocoa powder (2 tablespoons) Flour (4 tablespoons) Sugar (4 teaspoons) Chocolate chips (lots) 1 egg Guide: Find a mug that’s safe for the microwave. Oh, and find a microwave. Next, put everything into your mug. Yep, all at once. Mix it all up until well combined. At this point, you can add anything else you might want to make it yours. Blueberries, nuts, and/or marshmallows come to mind. Finally, cook in the microwave for around 2 minutes or until the center is done. Time to Get Cooking There you have it! Four awesome weed recipes to get you started with your cannabis cooking skills. As the promise of legalized weed grows, so do the possibilities for alternative forms of consumption! Cannabis tourism has increased by 51% in the last five years in Colorado alone. If you’re looking to enjoy the best cannabis tourism has to offer it’s important to know the best things to do when high in that state ahead of time.  Read on for more information on what to do while high in Las Vegas. Enjoying Cannabis in a Recreational State In over half the country the use of cannabis has been legalized. In most of the states, cannabis can only be used for medicinal purposes. However, there is a new rise in recreational states in which cannabis can be enjoyed simply for fun. The states include Nevada, Oregon, Colorado, and California to name a few. However, it's important to remember, that simply because the state allows the recreational use of cannabis it does not mean that there are no laws that pertain to the state. Nevada State Laws for Enjoying Cannabis While it's true that the recreational laws are fairly open, there are still some important rules and regulations to be aware of before doing cannabis in Las Vegas. For example, you must be at least 21 years of age to enjoy cannabis. You should know that there are also stark consequences for indulging in cannabis in public. Best Things to Do When High in Las Vegas  Sin City can easily become a stoner city in this cannabis tourism hub. There are no ends to the number of attractions that you can enjoy while high, however, here are some helpful suggestions to get started. Keep it Poolside With the Las Vegas heat, you'll find a number of poolside day clubs that are perfect for lounging or partying. This is an ideal option if you choose a strain of cannabis that makes you want to spend the day relaxing. Some strains have a roller coaster effect of high-energy highs that become low energy stalls. Which is why a day club brings you the best of both worlds. Spa Time Sometimes a good high makes you feel like indulging in something decadent. A deep tissue massage in one of Vegas' notorious spas is an ideal way to do just that. You'll find that the gorgeous spa atmosphere can make your already tranquil state even more tranquil. Some spas even offer day passes that allow you to spend time in their whirlpools or saunas. It's suggested that you know what kind of high you experience before spending time in such a quiet atmosphere.  All You Can Eat Buffet Aside from gambling if there's one thing that Vegas is known for is an incredibly full and endless variety of buffets. Which is why if you're experiencing an intense case of the munchies, this is the spot. For the price of one entry fee, you can eat to your heart's desire. From fried foods to multitier dessert tables, you may find yourself spending hours in this delicious food heaven.  Check Out a Show Las Vegas is filled with quality entertainment from some of the best performers in the world. However, if you're enjoying a particularly good high, we suggest a show with as much vibrancy and creativity as possible. For example, you may find that your high is the perfect match for the odd yet hilarious antics of the Blue Man Group. Are you a music lover? Check out the Beatles Cirque du Soleil Love Show or the Michael Jackson Rendition. It's important to keep in mind that if you visit the shows later in life when you're not high, they may not be as impressive as you remember. Gamble... or Not For this section, it's very important to know what kind of high you're really experiencing. Is your high one that allows you to be more perceptive, enhancing your ability to pick up on subtle cues? If so you may find that your luck at gambling will steadily improve. However, if getting stoned makes you more reckless, and open to greater risk you may want to stay away from the gambling tables. The last thing you want is to blow all of your money because you were too stoned to know about that. Finally, Stay in Bed It may sound strange to want to spend part of your vacation in bed, however, if you're in one of the true luxury resorts in Las Vegas you are likely to enjoy some of the most comfortable beddings and thread counts that you ever come across. Now match that comfort with great room service and pay-per-view TV, and you have one of the best experiences you can ask for while being high.  Visit Another Dispensary Part of the beauty of a recreational state is that no two dispensaries are alike. You will find each dispensary carries a variety of products for you to try, some of which you may have never even heard of. Have a look at our downtown dispensary for a mixture of treats or a marijuana dispensary in North Las Vegas. This is a time for a dispensary talk with your budtender, and always be open to suggestions. You may find your next high is right around the corner.  The Best Cannabis News and Tips on the Web To be a real stoner, it's best to be like a Boy Scout, always prepared to do the best things to do when high. That means staying on top of any news, tips, and changing laws that can help you enhance your cannabis experience. For more information on cannabis news visit our blog today. What's the weirdest thing you've ever made when you were high? We're pretty sure that's how people come up with delicacies like "hot Cheeto mac and cheese". But if you're visiting Las Vegas and you're in a hotel room, you don't have the fixings for a weird munchies meal. That's okay though, since Ubers, food delivery, and walking are all an option. Here are seven places that you can get some late night, snacks without the high price tag or the judgment. Just don't drive under the influence - find another way to get there. Munchies in Las Vegas Don't open up that minibar! Those snacks will only semi-satisfy you and they'll cost a fortune. Instead, visit ... In-N-Out If you live in the Mid-West, the South, or the East, we're sorry for you. Only in that, you don't have any In-N-Outs there. If you don't know, it's a famous West-coast burger chain and they make some of the best burgers out there. Usually, a fast-food burger place wouldn't make it onto a gastro guide, but In-N-Out is the exception. Learn their secret menu to order like a local. Don't forget to get a milkshake and some of their delicious fries. Take a paper hat for some selfies, too - it's a tradition! A.Y.C.E Buffet What's better than a buffet when you have the munchies? Plus, it means you don't have to make hard decisions, you can get a little bit of everything. And it being ready to go keeps you from forgetting that you ordered something and getting scared when someone knocks on the door (or comes to your table). This isn't your Golden Corral alternative, though. You can get everything from cauliflower (for those keto people) to well-prepared salmon. Is it cheap? No - but nothing in Vegas really is. There's a discount if you have a Palm's Player card though, so hit that up. Sprinkles Cupcake ATM If you're staying near Cesar's Palace, you'll find the Sprinkles cupcake ATM across the street. Just find their location on the strip and then you'll see the ATM on the sidewall of their store. It's open 24/7, with all the cupcakes served throughout the night made the previous day. You can get a range of flavors, which at that point, is whatever they had leftover. It's a cool concept and it's fun to do, who doesn't want to get their food out of an ATM? If the baker was feeling energetic that day, you may even find some cookies to choose from too. Sprinkles cupcakes are famous around the world, so feel free to set your expectations high. New York, New York American Restaurant Not open all night, but open late is this restaurant in the New York, New York resort. It has all the bar foods and home comforts you can think of, like chicken wings and french toast. It's not overly expensive, at least for something on the strip, and the staff is good-natured. You won't be the first stoned people there and you won't be the last. If you're staying on that end of the strip, go ahead and give it ago. Just check that they're open first. Food Trucks Now, if you're on or just off the strip, you can expect to find a food truck in your close vicinity. Here are a few to keep your eye out for. Sticky Iggy's This one just sounds stoner-friendly, doesn't it? You can check their website to find their up-to-date daily location. As far as food goes, you get a twist on southern classics here. Like chicken and waffles, except the chicken is put into a freshly made waffle cone. Don't expect to go walking the strip after eating here though. You'll a need food and weed induced power nap. Strip Chezze No, we didn't spell that wrong. The bright yellow and black truck is really named "StripChezze". You say it like "strip cheese". Anyways, if you're looking for a creative way to block your arteries, this is definitely it. You can get what they call "Daddy's on a roll" which is two deep-fried egg rolls filled with mac and cheese. It comes with a spicy kimchi sauce on the side. No, we couldn't have made that up if we tried. Their website is always up to date with their location and if you're having an event, they do private catering. Honorable Mentions If none of those excite you or aren't close enough, here are some other places to stick in your phone's GPS. Dirt Dog Phat Snacks Popcornopolis JoJo's Jerky New York Pretzel Now, with the restaurants, food trucks, and honorable mentions above, you should have no reason to buy those stale, expensive minibar snacks. You're better than that - and you deserve more. If you need advice as to where to get your greens before you spend your green on these tasty snacks, here are the directions to our store. Munchies for Days What on this list sounds the best to you? Remember, you can always take an Uber somewhere instead of driving. You'd be surprised how many places are open all night if you want to just find a place along the strip. But make it a point to go to one of the munchies favorites on this list and visit us at either our Cannabis dispensary in North Las Vegas or our Downtown dispensary. It's the least you can do for your high and your tongue. Every year, around 40 million people visit Vegas. Although so-called "Sin City" has more to offer than just partying, for many visitors, consuming their favorite substances is part of the attraction. Now that weed is legal, Vegas tourists have a choice: cannabis, alcohol, or cannabis and alcohol at the same time? However, there's more to making the decision than you might realize at first glance. Cannabis and alcohol don't always mix well. And when it comes to deciding between the two, the best choice might surprise you. We've put together this guide to help you have the time of your life in Vegas. Keep reading to learn which substances will help you have the most fun with the least worry! What's Worse: Alcohol or Weed? When you consume recreational substances, you're usually doing so under the assumption that you're causing some harm to your body. After all, hangovers certainly show that your body doesn't love lots of alcohol. But are alcohol and weed equally bad for you? And if not, what's the difference? Let's break it down by taking a look at how the two substances impact you.  How Does Alcohol Affect You? When you drink alcohol, it gets metabolized by your liver. But your liver can only handle so much, so fast. So if you drink more than one drink per hour, you'll typically start to feel the effects of intoxication. Of course, for a lot of people, the intoxication is the whole point. Alcohol's effects often feel positive, especially when you first start drinking.  You'll notice that you feel more relaxed and confident, with lowered inhibitions. Your reaction times gradually slow down as you drink more (that's one major reason drinking and driving aren't safe).  As you continue drinking, you'll also become more clumsy, and you might slur when you talk. Physically, your skin may become red and your pupils might dilate. You'll probably feel tired as you drink more and more, and your senses will become less clear. That's why drinking feels great when you first start but has fewer pleasant effects as you keep drinking more and more. However, because it has the power to lower your inhibitions and reduce your good judgment, it becomes harder to recognize that it's wise to stop after a certain point. The day after you drink, you'll suffer the consequences of the alcohol even more. A hangover is mostly caused by serious dehydration.  However, alcohol also comes with more serious effects than poor judgment calls and hangovers. Drinking too much in one night can lead to alcohol poisoning or even death. And drinking lots over a long period of time can have negative long-term effects, causing liver damage, cancer, and more.  How Does Weed Affect You? Now, let's take a look at how weed compares. Like alcohol, the effects of weed grow as you consume more of it. However, the amount of time it takes for you to process cannabis isn't as easy to measure as with alcohol. It depends on how much you take, and the form you take it in. That's why it's usually advised to start with a small dose and see how you feel before consuming more.  However, it's pretty easy to limit how much weed you consume, as long as you start with a small dose. Although it might slow your reaction time and impair your judgment, it won't lower your inhibitions as alcohol does. Once you feel high enough, you can easily decide not to consume more. As you get higher, you'll often find that you have difficulty with your memory (like with alcohol). You may also feel less depressed or less anxious than you did before. However, some people respond to THC with more anxiety, rather than less, so it all depends on the strain. Since some strains have more THC, while others have more CBD and other compounds, the effects of weed can vary depending on what you smoke. THC gives you the "high" feeling, and CBD can offer relief from pain, anxiety, and other issues. It's less clear what the other compounds in marijuana do. Getting high can actually increase your sensory perception, while alcohol decreases it. It also stimulates appetite and can help reduce nausea.  One of the best things about using cannabis is that even when you smoke a lot, there's no hangover. At worst, you might feel a bit more drowsy than usual the next day. But if you consume moderate amounts, you'll feel nothing at all the day after. Weed also doesn't have the same short- and long-term risks that alcohol does. No one has ever overdosed and died from weed. And in the long term, marijuana use isn't associated with any troubling health effects. The primary risk of smoking marijuana often is that smoking isn't great for your lungs (although weed is better than tobacco). However, you can also use cannabis without smoking it.  Mixing Weed with Alcohol: What You Need to Know  As you can see, cannabis is the clear winner when it comes to treating your body well. But what about mixing the two together? Typically, when you use both alcohol and weed, the effects of both will be enhanced. There's no rule that says you can't mix the two, but you should be careful because the effects will be stronger. If you want to use alcohol and weed at the same time, start slow, such as with a small drink and a low-THC strain. Give yourself time to feel the full effects before you keep drinking or smoking.  And, if you want to play it safe (and avoid alcohol), just stick to cannabis solo. Making Cannabis and Alcohol Part of Your Vegas Trip You don't have to have a Vegas trip with cannabis and alcohol---but for many people, the "vices" are part of the fun. We encourage you to get high and enjoy yourself. Just remember that if alcohol is in the mix, you need to treat it with more caution than weed alone.  Looking for the cannabis products to help you get the buzz you want? 2017 was the first full year Nevada had legal marijuana. Nevada’s party central Las Vegas alone received $700 million in sales throughout the whole year. But were these sales from medical marijuana or recreational marijuana? Medical marijuana is marijuana cultivated specifically for different ailments. You need a qualifying condition to buy medical marijuana. However, recreational marijuana is legal in Nevada, so any adult can buy and use marijuana in the state. Is medical and recreational marijuana different? Do users consume either for different purposes? There are some key differences even seasoned marijuana consumers may not understand. Here’s the difference between medical and recreational weed. How Nevada Treats Medical and Recreational Marijuana Nevada has different standards for medical and recreational marijuana consumers. Here’s a breakdown of both. Medical Marijuana As with all states, Nevada requires patients to obtain a medical marijuana card before purchasing medical marijuana. This is done by filling out an application and visiting a doctor to ensure you have a qualifying condition. From here, the process of buying medical marijuana is similar to buying recreational marijuana. You visit a dispensary, tell the budtender what you want, and you walk away with your purchase. Medical marijuana consumers can purchase 2.5 ounces of medical marijuana every two weeks. Medical marijuana patients have an advantage that other states don’t have — patients from other states can use their medical marijuana card from their home state to purchase medical marijuana in Nevada. In other words, you don’t need to only obtain a Nevada medical marijuana card to buy medical marijuana. You can have a card from Pennsylvania, Florida, or other states that issue medical marijuana cards. Patients can also grow their own marijuana. They can grow up to 12 plants. Unfortunately, health insurance doesn’t cover medical marijuana in Nevada. Patients aren’t above the law for certain factors. For example, driving while under the influence of marijuana can result in a DUI. You also can’t use medical marijuana on the job, even with a card. If it’s necessary, ask your employer. Recreational Marijuana Recreational marijuana consumers don’t need a specific card to purchase marijuana. Adults 21 years or older can enter a dispensary and immediately buy marijuana. There are some restrictions. Recreational marijuana users can only buy an ounce at a time. Public consumption is illegal, meaning you can only use marijuana in your own home. Recreational marijuana users can grow marijuana in their own home. Their limit is six plants. The Shopping Experience Is Different One of the unlikely differences between recreational and medical marijuana is the overall shopping experience. Here’s what either consumer can expect. Medical Marijuana After you receive your medical marijuana card, you’re ready to purchase medical marijuana. But there’s a specific process to know. First, you’ll have to bring your card to the dispensary. Next, you have to wait until you can meet one-on-one with the budtender. While the budtender can help you select the best products, it’s best you do some research on your own. Unlike recreational consumers, medical consumers use marijuana to treat their ailments or alleviate their symptoms. All marijuana strains and products are different. Marijuana products are available in dry herb, concentrate, and even edibles. Medical marijuana strains are formulated to treat specific conditions; i.e., a strain formulated for pain may not help someone who’s trying to relieve their anxiety. When you know what you want, simply purchase your products with the budtender. Recreational Marijuana Purchasing recreational marijuana is similar to purchasing medical marijuana in Nevada. Depending on the dispensary, the budtender may need to take each patient one at a time. It’s also best to research the marijuana products you want. Unlike patients, recreational marijuana consumers are likely purchasing marijuana to get “high.” It’s important you know which marijuana products you want. For example, seasoned marijuana users may benefit from high-THC strains or potent edibles or concentrates. But beginners shouldn’t use these powerful products. You should also know if you want to purchase an energizing sativa, a calming indica, or a hybrid of both types. If you’re unsure, the budtender can always make recommendations. From here, purchase your products and start using recreational marijuana! The Difference Between Medical and Recreational Weed: Facts You May Not Know While Nevada has its own process of handling medical and recreational marijuana, there are some additional differences between the two. Here are some further differences you should know. Taxation Nevada charges an 8.25% tax on medical marijuana purchases. This number increases to 15% tax for recreational marijuana consumers. Strain Differences As mentioned previously, medical marijuana strains are cultivated for specific ailments. While these strains differ, they have one main aspect in common — they contain a high amount of cannabidiol or CBD. CBD is the cannabinoid that helps treat many ailments and decreases the symptoms of these ailments. These strains may contain psychoactive THC, but the high CBD content will offset the “high” you’ll experience. Recreational marijuana strains contain higher amounts of THC since users consume these products to “get high.” Product Differences The marijuana administration method also varies between both. For example, many patients would rather not smoke or even vape medical marijuana. That’s why medical marijuana is commonly sold as a tincture or an edible. While recreational marijuana comes in many forms, users still prefer smoking it. This is either done with dry flower or marijuana concentrate. Age Remember when we said recreational marijuana consumers need to be 21 years old? Medical marijuana consumers are only required to be 18 when signing up for their medical marijuana card. The cannabis edibles industry is projected to become a $5.3 billion market over the next few years. This method of marijuana consumption is growing more and more popular every day, and for good reason. Users who consume cannabis-infused edibles experience a new kind of high, even if they're used to smoking. However, as with any other substance, your tolerance level will determine the enjoyment you get from any amount of edibles. In order to get the best experience, you need to determine the proper edible dosage for yourself. This may require some trial and error, but it's guaranteed to be worth it in the end. Read on for our top 5 tips to find the correct edibles dosage. Start with a Small Edibles Dosage Although 10mg THC content is the standard dosage for consuming marijuana edibles, you may want to start smaller than that if you're a beginner. Try taking a 10mg edible and eating half of it at first, then allow yourself a couple of hours for the effects to take place before you consume any more. In addition to starting small with your edibles dosage, you should also start slow with where you decide to be while you do it. If it's one of your first times taking edibles, you don't want to overwhelm yourself by venturing out somewhere crowded or far from home. Be sure to stay home or somewhere quiet and comfortable when you're first figuring out your edibles dosage. Even if you're a seasoned marijuana smoker, you may be surprised at the varying levels of potency in different consumption methods. That way, you'll be somewhere safe if you end up consuming a greater edibles dosage than you should have. Follow the Dosage Guidelines on the Package Checking out the guidelines on the packaging of your edibles is a great place to start when you're figuring out your edibles dosage. This will tell you how many milligrams of THC are in each serving and will give you a general idea of how much to take. Again, you may want to lower their suggested edibles dosage if you're new to taking edibles. By following the edibles dosage guidelines, you'll be given a good "jumping off" point before you take your initial dose. Then, by figuring out your tolerance, you'll be able to determine the edibles dosage that's right for you. Get to Know Your Tolerance Just like with any other drug, everyone's tolerance level with edibles is different. You shouldn't compare yourself to anyone else when you're figuring out your proper edibles dosage, especially if they use edibles more frequently than you do. Commercially produced edibles typically contain a specific edible dosage based on each individual piece. For instance, one edible might contain a 10mg THC level. If you consume one of those 10mg THC edibles, you'll have a basis for comparison when deciding on your future edibles dosage. You'll just ask yourself, "how strong is a 10mg edible?" and use that to determine your tolerance for a 5mg edibles dosage, 15mg, or any other specific level you're looking at. Once you've gotten to know your tolerance levels, it's much easier to get the most out of your edible experience. As mentioned before, just start slow and pay attention to your edible dosage while you're doing it. Be Patient Unlike smoking weed, an edible dosage will not take effect immediately. Especially if you're used to smoking, it can be difficult to wait it out. You may be tempted to keep snacking on your edibles until you start to feel the high, but it's important to restrain yourself. Once you start consuming compulsively and losing track of your edible dosage, you can easily run into trouble and set yourself up for a bad trip. Realistically, an edibles dosage can take up to two hours to take effect, continuing to peak for another two hours afterward. Compared to smoking, which averages 10-15 minutes before peak high, these two methods have drastically different timelines of effectiveness. Be sure to keep this all in mind when you're figuring out your edible dosage. Allow yourself a least a couple of hours before you decide to increase the amount you consume. Be Mindful of Factors That Affect Your Tolerance When it comes to your tolerance for an edible dosage, you may find that it varies depending on other factors at play. For instance, how much did you eat today? An empty stomach can digest edibles at a higher rate than normal, so you may want to take it easy if you haven't had much food beforehand. As with other substances, your edibles dosage tolerance can fluctuate for a variety of other reasons as well. These can include your stress level, how much rest you've had, and how long it's been since you last consumed any edibles. When you figure out your dosage, try not to think of it as a flat number, but more like a guideline that can vary day by day. It's best to start on the lower end of your typical edible dosage and work your way up from there. What If I Overdo My Edible Dosage? Since the effects of consuming edibles take so much longer than traditional smoking methods, even heavy marijuana smokers run the risk of overdoing it when trying to figure out their edible dosage. While this might lead to an uncomfortable experience, you won't have to worry about dying from an overdose as you would with other drugs. Marijuana is non-toxic to healthy cells in animals and humans, even if high levels are consumed. However, consuming too high of an edible dosage can still be an unpleasant experience that should be avoided if possible. If you find you've consumed too high of an edible dosage, just stay somewhere safe and try to relax. Don't call an ambulance and definitely do not drive a car. Just try and stay calm and the effects will calm down on their own. Try Marijuana Edibles Now Consuming marijuana edibles is a new and enjoyable experience for newbies and seasoned smokers alike. Once you've figured out your proper edible dosage, you are fully set to enjoy their fun effects.

There’s no more hiding in the shadows. You can do as you please with ease. Cooking with marijuana is one fun way to make the most of this new found freedom. Add in the eggs one at a time while mixing between each egg. Last, mix in the flour with the mint and walnuts as well.
